Felix Bedont was born on July 17, 1933, in Bingham Canyon to Costante and Vigilante Replica Bedont. He passed away peacefully in his home on November 10, 2013. Felix was a proud 1951 graduate of Bingham High School where he served as a student body officer for three years. He excelled in football and baseball and was selected as a member of the All-State team in both sports and awarded a sports scholarship at Notre Dame. He joined the Army and served at Ft. Hood, Texas, as Sergeant-Quartermaster during the Korean War. He married Joyce Olsen on November 19, 1955. They raised three children, Bob (Florence) Bedont, Becky Bedont-Guy and Paul (Karen) Bedont. Dad continued his loved of sports as he supported his children. He was one of the founders of the Granger WBBA Little League Baseball program and later served in the Babe Ruth League. He coached baseball, football, and softball for many years. He retired from Kennecott as a Mine Supervisor after thirty-five years of service. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, children, 9 grandchildren: BJ, Beckie, Brandon, Tom, Jason, Jennifer, Christine, Adam and Tracy, 9 great-grandchildren, and his sisters, Livia Brentel and Sandra (Dave) Goris. A visitation will be held at Friday, November 15th, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd, prior to the interment.
