Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at her home following a valiant battle with multiple illnesses. Diane was born in Salt Lake City to William George and Evylyn Olive Pedler Shelton. She graduated from Olympus High in 1955. She married Robert Melvin Ince in May 1956, later divorced. She married the love of her life, Jack Dotson, October 1986; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed 23 years of travel and adventure together. She was a life-long member of the LDS Church where she enriched many lives through music and piano.
Survived by her children, Paul Ince, Peggi Ince-Whiting, Ken (Jill) Ince, Bill (Bonnie) Ince, Brent (Jolene) Dotson, Lloyd (Candy) Dotson, Von (Lisa) Dotson; son-in-law, Brent Cummings; 28 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and many extended family members. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kailynne Cummings and sister, Marvetta Shelton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20th, 11:00 a.m. at the Cannon 9th Ward, 1250 W. 1400 So. Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the church and 9:30 – 10:30 Friday prior to services. Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Utah Chapter or a favorite charity.
The family thanks the doctors and staff of Rocky Mountain Hospice for the comfort and care they gave to Diane.
