On October 12, 2014, Evelyn Gunda Edward Moore, at age 89, graduated this life in West Jordan, Utah, from natural causes secondary to old age. Born October 14, 1924, to Joseph Smith Edward and Gunda Marie Asbjørnsen in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married John Hayes Moore on February 16, 1945 and divorced in 1960. She is survived by her sisters Teddy Carey, Merlyn (Henry) Whitaker, sister-in-law Rose Edward, and brother-in-law Richard Bateman, her sons Preston J. (Sherlyn) Moore, Richard H. (Jean) Moore, Craig A. (Jody) Moore, 12 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lenore Bateman, brother John Edward, infant son Robert J. Moore, and John Hayes Moore.
For many years she worked as a secretary at El Paso Natural Gas and then at Northwest Natural Gas Pipeline Company. In 1979 she became a legal secretary at Northwest and in 1981 was certified as a Paralegal.
Her greatest hobby was her children and grandchildren. She hiked all over Glacier National Park with her youngest son when he was 15. She visited her children often, taking each of her grandchildren on a cruise or to Disneyland when they were 9 years old as long as she was able.
She earned the distinction of being a Life Master in Contract Bridge.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014, at 12:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, with viewings Thursday night from 7-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.
