Eulalia Blair

April 23, 1921 — September 13, 2013

May began life’s adventure in Roosevelt, Utah as the youngest of eight children born to pioneering parents, Joseph Willard Anderson and Lorana Page Anderson. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and later married her sweetheart, Victor Heward Blair, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Then came the children of their own: four daughters and two sons. They were later blessed with thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to her. May was woman who applied her extraordinary intelligence to everything she touched or considered. She enjoyed history and world affairs, as recorded in her life-spanning journals. Most of all, she loved being outdoors in nature, vacationing with family in the Uintas, Yellowstone, Southern Utah, and California, where she always took plenty of photos, some from which she would paint her beautiful artwork. Emergency roadside stops for photographing a striking could or mesmerizing group of trees were frequent. May relished art throughout her life and imagined a masterful painting in every scene around her. After raising her children, she began creating avidly. Some of her most exquisite works were of her treasured garden roses. She taught community education art classes for several years and was a charter member of the Intermountain Society of Artists. She is survived by her children: Bonnie Posselli, Robert Blair (Faye), Beckie Rock, David Blair (Heidi), Cathy Hewitt, and Jeanie Blair. Preceded in death by her husband, Victor Heward Blair, and grandson Blair Rock. Services will be held at Redwood Memorial Mortuary on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
