Ethel Jeannine Turner

There is a glorious reunion going on in heaven right now! 🥰 Ethel Jeannine Turner has graduated from this mortal realm of joy, but also sickness, disease, infirmities, limitations, pains and sorrows and has returned to a grand welcome home party with Naonda, Irvin, Ethel, Twyla, Sammy, Steven, Robert, Garth and many others whom we have loved and lost.

Jeannine had many struggles, trials and disappointments in this life, and she would have been understandably justified in choosing to be angry and bitter about her lot in life. Instead, she chose love. She chose to give love, joy, kindness, humor, and happiness to everyone she met. She raised four wonderful daughters who will miss her greatly.

Jeannine was preceded in death by her father, Irvin LaVerl Jenkins, and her mother, Mattie Naonda Baldwin and her husbands, Steven Gudmundsen, Robert Olsen, and Garth Turner. She leaves behind four daughters: Stephanie Gudmundsen, Melissa Gudmundsen, Kristie Lindsey (Tony) and Brandy Olsen and three grandchildren Bianka, Freddie Jr. and Maryah.

She was born June 29, 1949, in East Mill Creek, Utah, and died March 6, 2025, in West Jordan, Utah.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Monument Health Taylorsville for their loving care of Ethel during the last several years. We would also like to thank Renew Hospice for their assistance in her final days.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Rd, West Jordan, Utah at 2:30 PM. There will be a viewing prior to services from 1:30 to 2:15 PM. Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery at the same address.
