Esther Marie Kueffner Takos passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 12, 2017 of natural causes at her home in Grantsville, Utah. Esther was the daughter of Fred Kueffner and Marie Kohoutek born on February 10, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was married to the love of her life, Donald Dix Takos on January 15, 1949. They would have been married for 69 years on January 15, 2018. She was the mother to Dixie Alldredge, Kathy Peterson, and David Takos. She has 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters; Helen Kueffner, Edith Savage, Virginia Schwemmer, Norma Warhurst, Viola Parker, Mary Ann Easton, Eileen Allred, brother; Melvin Kueffner, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Ralph Kueffner and Fred Kueffner. Esther worked at Johnson Ice Cream, Bausch and Lomb, Walter B. Lloyd Co., Tom Daniger Dist., and Earl B. Fillmore Co. doing bookkeeping. She loved gardening and flowers. She was able to make any plant grow! Esther is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She worked in the name extraction for many years and had various other church callings. The family would like to express a sincere thanks to Harmony Home Health and Hospice especially, Stacey, Robin, Heather, and the many aides that provided excellent care. Funeral will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 with a viewing from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with a graveside service to follow at 11:30 am at Memorial Redwood Cemetery at 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.Service Information
