Erma Ruth Eldredge Hogan

Erma Ruth Eldredge Hogan age 92 passed away on June 18, 2019 in Bountiful Utah. She was born on May 19 1927 in Myton Utah to Joseph Harold Eldredge and Erma Salmon Eldredge. She grew up in the Uintah Basin and graduated from Duchesne High School. She served a LDS mission to France that she loved and spoke about often. She graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She met her eternal partner Lloyd G Hogan and married him in the Salt Lake Temple on December 16 1960.
She worked for many years as the executive secretary to Marriner S Eccles at First Security Bank and upon his death became the Managing Director of the Marriner S Eccles Foundation. She shared a love of the Symphony and Opera with her husband and her son and she shared a love of the ballet with her twin sister, her daughter, and her granddaughter. She held season tickets for many years and was able to have many enjoyable experiences with her family and friends. She loved traveling with her husband and family and was fortunate to see many places in the world. She was an avid fan of BYU football and basketball and she loved to read. She loved her grandchildren more than anything and felt that the time spent with them was so precious.
Erma had a deep and abiding testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and shared her testimony often. She loved attending church and loved her many callings.
She is survived by her children Ruthann (David) Cuzick, Garth (Laura) Hogan and her grandchildren Spencer, Porter (Sarah), Conner, Will, Annie and Robbie. Her twin sister Eva Rae Eldredge, Sister Renee Powell and brother Burr Eldredge and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd G Hogan, her parents Joseph Harold Eldredge and Erma Salmon Eldredge, her sister Orba Pearce and brother Harold Eldredge.
We would like to thank Legacy House of Bountiful and Bristol Hospice for caring for Erma in her final stages of Alzheimers disease, which she bravely battled for over 10 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday June 29th 2019 at the West Bountiful 2nd ward at 840 N 800 W West Bountiful Utah with a viewing to be held at 10:00 am prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at 2:00 pm at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery 3115 E 7800 S Cottonwood Heights Utah.
