In a gospel centered home Richard and Erma raised 7 children who to this day have high regard, deep appreciation, and abiding love for a Mother who was always a strong example of Christ-like service and sacrifice, and a Father who had a deep, unwavering love and commitment to his wife who he also adored as his eternal companion. Family was everything to Erma throughout her life. She was the proud Grandmother to 29 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren who all knew of her unconditional love and revere her as an amazing example.

She was always a strong reflection of the Savior’s love as she exemplified selfless service in wearing out her life for others. Upon the retirement of her husband, Richard and Erma embraced the opportunity to serve a couple’s mission in the Detroit Michigan mission where together they fulfilled an honorable mission and grew stronger in their relationship and testimony of God’s plan.
