Emerson Tindal Mcomber

Emerson Tindal McOmber, age 81, passed away on September 22, 2021 in Holladay, Utah. He was born on April 5, 1940 in Pocatello, Idaho to George Emerson McOmber and Josie Clara C. Thatcher Tindal.
He married Kaye Tobler on September 7, 1963 in St. George temple.
Emerson graduated from California State University, Fresno with a degree in Agriculture/Business. Although he spent the majority of his life developing and constructing commercial and residential buildings, he loved animals (especially horses). He raised cows as well. He used to say that he wasn’t raising animals, “he was raising boys.” He loved going to rodeos and would bring out his boots and hat to wear. His favorite clothes were western wear.
Emerson loved sports. He especially loved baseball and basketball – playing and watching.
Emerson was very involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in England, and served in many capacities throughout the years. He especially enjoyed serving in the temple and serving a mission (with his wife and daughter and son-in-law) in Taiwan.
Emerson was always very kind – always a gentleman -right up to the very end. He always thanked everyone for anything he received- even the nasty medicine.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye, children: Jennifer (Jace), Del (Kari), Mark (Danette) and Brad. He also has a brother, LeGrand (Debbie), and sisters, Carolyn, Evelyn (Stuart), and Ann. He has 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. His family is the love of his life.
He is preceded in death by his son, Ryan, his sister, Nancy, her husband Bryan (Elliott), his mother and his father and many other loved ones.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, at 12:00 (noon) in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint church building at 8539 S 2200 W, West Jordan, UT.
Interment will be at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT.Service Information
