Elwood Meckley

Our father returned to his Heavenly home to be reunited with his loving wife, September 3, 2015. Born May 31, 1923 to Clitus and Hilda Krumrine Meckley in Hanover, PA. The eldest son of 10 children. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII in the South Pacific. Married Camilla June Goodwin June 29, 1946 (solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple June 29, 1961). Survived by his children, Ella (Jerry) Reese, Carolyne (Terry, deceased) Galentine, Elwood Jr. (Karen), Julia Dominguez, Jay (Natalie), and Cameron (JaeLynne); 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September, 5, 2015 at the Granger 10th Ward, 3276 South Hillsdale Drive (2760 West), West Valley City, UT with a viewing to begin at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.Our family would like to thank Jake, Cindy, and Heidi at CNS Nursing; Craig with CNS Hospice; Dave, Rich and Elizabeth at the VA.
