Elsie Rigby peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. She was born on November 11, 1933 to Andrew and Nellie Schmidt. She married her high school sweetheart, Bryant “K” Rigby on December 5, 1952, in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was a wonderful and loving mother to her five children. They truly felt and knew deep inside that “We had been born of goodly parents.” Mom enjoyed reading and loved visiting and playing cards with her children and grandchildren.
Elsie attended the temple faithfully throughout her life. She was committed to following the Savior by keeping His commandments and serving others despite courageously enduring much pain. She made a chocolate cake for every funeral in her ward for the past several years. She had a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ and was a great example to all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Elsie was welcomed through the veil by her parents, 8 brothers and 3 sisters, her granddaughter and loving husband of 68 years who tenderly cared for her until his passing 10 weeks ago.
Her children Cheri (Steve) Burningham, Ron (Angie) Rigby, Ken (Dorthy) Rigby, Kristy (Steve) Belnap, and Tony (Sanetta) Rigby, 1 sister, 18 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren will miss her but are grateful she is free of pain and for the knowledge of eternal families.
Due to Covid-19, there will be a private family graveside service.
