Elsa Cruz

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28-30
Our beloved Elsa Cruz passed away into the loving arms of our Lord on March 13, 2018, surrounded by family. Elsa was born in Llano, New Mexico to Julian Benavidez and Anita Pacheco Padilla on September 1, 1936.
She is survived by husband, Harold DeBoard; children, Gary (Lonnie), Joey (Renae) and Diana Cruz, siblings; Arsenio (Adelia) Benavidez, Nancy (Pete) Corral, Jayne Delon and Lisa (Tim) Hansen. Grandchildren: Amber, Michael, Angelo, Reanna Cruz, Matthew Silva, Dasia, Ericka, Emilio Santiago Salazar. Great grandchildren: Riley Cruz, Vincent Lopez and Olivia Cruz. Special friend Michelle Sylvester.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe D. Cruz, daughter Ilene Cruz, granddaughter Angel Cruz, and nephew Christian Delon.
Family would like to especially thank the staff of IHC, Murray for their kindness.
The family will hold a viewing at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S Redwood Road, on Monday, March 19, 2018, from 6:00-7:00 PM with the Holy Rosary to follow. Mass to be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Sts. Peter & Paul Parish, 3560 W 3650 S Lancer Way, at 11:00 AM with a viewing one hour prior. Interment to follow at Memorial Redwood Estates.

Prayer to be Full of The Holy Spirit
Dear Loving Lord,
I come before you,
I seek your presence,
As I am empty without you.
So here and now, oh dear Lord,
I ask you to fill me.
Pour your Spirit into me.
I open up my heart and soul
To your tender healing
And loving mercy.
Pour out your Spirit, oh Lord.
Free me, cleanse me, restore me,
Make me new again.
Let your grace work in me
To build my strength
And to give me clarity.
Fill me with the peace of Christ.
Only in you
Can I receive true rest.
Only in you
Can my heart find the heavenly joy
That Jesus won for me
On the cross.
He is risen- and so am I
By your goodness alone.
Fill me Lord,
May your Spirit live in me.
