Elroy Smith, 60, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away at his home surrounded by family. He was born the son of Earl and Elaine Smith.
He married Leona Coleman on November 4, 1978. He completed his Bachelors of Science from the University of Utah. He continued on with a successful career in technology development, working for Zions Bank Corp., O.C. Tanner, Discover Financial Services, and finally the Department of Defense.
His was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed river trips, camping, hiking, and spending time with his family.
He was survived by his wife Leona, daughters Holly and Mandy, brother Evern Smith, and sister Eveline Feenstra.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S 900 E.
