Eloy George Aleman Jr., aged 56, passed away from complications of liver disease on July 12, 2024, in South Salt Lake. He was born on September 9, 1967, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Irene Trujillo and Eloy Aleman.
Eloy graduated from Granger High School in 1985 and subsequently enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1986. He proudly served as a jet mechanic in Alaska for five years, making Alaska his home for another five years. Upon returning to Utah, Eloy embarked on a successful career as a heavy equipment mechanic, working for Komatsu, Ace Disposal, and Kennecott. He lived in Vernal for a few years while working for JD Services.
In 2003, Eloy married Yarnell Adams; later divorced. Eloy never had children of his own, but he adored his nephews and nieces dearly. He always volunteered to look after them. He had a special bond with his niece Melissa, joyfully including her in visits with friends and trips to the local pub. Eloy was a passionate outdoorsman and cherished spending time with family and friends camping, fishing, and hunting. His heart found solace at Redman Campground, particularly at Camp Spot 13, a place that became his sanctuary. Eloy leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family.
He is survived by his parents, Irene Trujillo and Eloy Aleman; siblings Jodie (Mike) Caputo, Becky Bradshaw (Dustin Campbell), Isaac (Brandi) Aleman; nine beloved nieces and nephews, along with eleven great-nieces and great-nephews.
