Eloise Petrogeorge Kavoukas

Our mother, wife, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Eloise Orr Petrogeorge Kavoukas, died peacefully, at her home, of natural causes on Wednesday Feb. 19, 2014, at the age of 87.
Eloise was born May 16, 1926 in Rupert, Idaho the daughter of the late Vash and Viral Orr. She moved to Salt Lake City where she met and married her husband, Gus Petrogeorge. Together they had 4 children and lived and worked in the Salt Lake area until Gus’s sudden death in 1960. She later married George Kavoukas in April 1962. They had 3 boys together. Eloise will long be remembered as the owner and operator of George’s Café.
Eloise was preceded in death by her husband and oldest son, Gus and Dino Petrogeorge.
Eloise will be greatly missed by her husband, George Kavoukas; sister, Helen Peterson; daughters, Joan and Cathy (Mike); sons, Mike (Gio), Jim, George, and Bill (Beth); and grandchildren, Laura, Davis, Brittney, Jessie, Michael, Mathew, Rochelle, Jennifer, and Jamie.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Funeral services will be held at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Salt Lake City, on Saturday Feb. 22, 2014 at 12 noon. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services.
