Ellen “Louise” Smith (Fulk)
Our beloved mother Ellen Louise Smith was called home to her Heavenly Father on September 22, 2017.
She was born May 14th 1942 in High Point, North Carolina to Thallis and Helen Fulk and even though living in Utah over 50 years her southern hospitality never dimmed.
She was sealed to her loving husband Legrand Smith November 14, 1969 in the Logan Temple. Knowing that Eternal companionship what a joyous reunion in heaven that would have been to observe.
Louise was a loving mother to her children. She always put their interest before her own attending many basketball games, concerts and piano recitals. She taught by example the importance of hard work. She would wake up early to welcome young children into her home where she ran a daycare. There she taught not only her own children but her daycare children skills that would mold them into the adults they are today. She was known as grandma to many children.
Service was a substantial part of her life. Louise, accompanied by her husband, were the type of people that would invite a perfect stranger into their home to feed both temporally and spiritually.
As a missionary, in her youth, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints she served in the Wyoming mission. Additionally she along with her husband helped support others serve as missionaries. Finally later in life as a service missionary helping others through their dependences in the Churches Addictions Recovery Program.
She served many years as a scout leader in the Boy Scouts of America including becoming a silver beaver. Numerous men can look back at her leadership and countless Eagles moved through her watchful care.
Survived by her sister Claudine Lewis of Clearfield Utah. Son Sidney (Trindy) Smith Springville, Utah. Her Daughter Tracy (Paul) Woodbrey Spanish Fork, Utah and Son Steven Smith of South Salt Lake City, Utah, Daughter Karen Clark.
