Ellen Marie (Amtoft) Staples

Our mom passed away on March 9, 2018. Ellen is again with the love of her life who preceded her in death in 2003.
She was born in Salt Lake City, September 20, 1928 to Warlock Peter Amtoft and Elizabeth Mable (Wilde) Amtoft. They moved to Tooele, Utah when she was 3 months old, where she was raised and went to school.
She worked for Bell Telephone as an Operator and Chief Operator from 1946 to 1952. They moved to Woods Cross, Utah in 1954.
She worked for Ireco Inc. (now known as Dyno Nobel) from 1966-1987, where she was PBX Receptionist, as well as other positions. She retired from there in 1987.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many positions. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, hunting, and fishing. She loved her children and husband more than life itself.
Survived by her daughters and son; Marilyn (Bud) Forbes, Gayle (Scott) Davis, Barbara (Jeff) Turner, James Earl Staples, her 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Graveside services will be held March 17, 2018 at 11:00 at Lakeview Memorial Estates, 1640 E. Lakeview Dr., Bountiful, UT.
