Elizabeth Walton, 99, peacefully passed away on February 12, 2015 in Salt Lake City. Daughter of Leroy Richard Griffin and Elizabeth Unck Griffin. Born October 6, 1915 in Ogden, Utah. Raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Fourth daughter of 13 children. Married Irvin L. Walton on January 12, 1939 in Idaho Falls. Later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were blessed with 2 daughters, Betty Jean Stout and Sherrie Dee Wilde. She was a valued employee at Auerbaugh Co. for 32 years. She served in many organizations for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed many years of attending the temple, and providing flowers for church meetings. Nanny enjoyed playing the piano and organ, and most of all, little children. She is survived by daughters Betty Jean Stout and Sherrie Dee Wilde; 8 grandchildren Lori Thorn, Lisa Farrington (Rod), Mitch Stout (Kim), Scott Wilde (Kim), Jeff Wilde, Jami Anderson (Jed), Chris Wilde, Mike Wilde (Randilee); 23 great-grandchildren Weston, Ladd (Brittany) and Kaitlin Thorn; Chaseton, Amanda (Adam Christiansen), Elder Cody (serving in Hermosillo Mexico) Farrington; Elder Coleman (serving in Santiago, Chile) and Kaden Stout; Hailie and Kelton (Erika) Wilde; Devin (Alec Silverman) and Dyllan Wilde; Ryan, Chandler and Grayson Anderson; Mauryn, Brynn and Cillian Wilde, Emi and Tori Myasaki, Cora and Dean Wilde; 3 great, great-grandchildren Kaydance and Kaddan Thorn; and brother Ronald Griffin. Preceeded in death by parents; husband Irvin; siblings Louise, Jerri, Gertrude, Joann, Helen, Rickie, Roy, Walt, Don, Wayne and Derk; and 1 bicycle between them all; son-in-law Darwin K Stout; and grandson-in-law Mark Thorn. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17 at the Winder 10th Ward, 4366 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16 at the Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Blvd.), Cottonwood Heights, as well as one hour prior to the services at the church.
