Elizabeth Roeling

Elizabeth Gertrude Murphy Roeling passed from this life on November 27th 2015. She was 88 years old. The oldest of five children, she was born to Miles Mark Murphy and Gertrude Teerlink Murphy in Salt Lake City Utah on October 10, 1927. Beth is survived by her daughter Thais Ann Farr, son Fredrick Miles Roeling, and their families — including her nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers John M., Frank M., R. Stanley, and Michael B. Murphy. Beth often expressed love for, concern for, and fond memories of her entire extended family during the last several months.
Beth is preceded in death by her husband Fredrick August William Roeling Jr. They were married on March 12, 1946 – upon his return from the Pacific Front of World War II. Beth and Fred raised their children in Salt Lake City, Bennion, and Taylorsville Utah. Beth enjoyed doing puzzles and reading books. She loved listening to the radio — serials, talk shows, and classic country and western music.
Beth has looked forward to reunions with family and friends who have passed on before her. Given her candid, honest style she is certainly engaged in lively conversations with them now, in this new phase of her life after death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday December 2, 2015 with a viewing from 12:00 to 1:30 pm prior at Redwood Memorial, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
