Elizabeth B Harmon Obituary
Written by me; Elizabeth B Harmon
I returned to my Father in Heaven on June 25, 2024.
I was born on July 29, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Alton Bushnell and Vay Smith. I was the oldest of 4 children. I graduated from West High school. I married William Kay Harmon in the Salt Lake Temple on March 25th, 1960. I loved being with my husband, children and grandchildren. All of them call me Grandma. My friends call me Beth.
I have a very strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I had many church callings in Relief Society, Young Women's, Primary, and Sunday school. I was a music chorister many times. My husband, Bill and I served two missions: the Laie Temple in Hawaii and the Palmyra Temple in New York. I was an Ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple and also served 9 years in the Draper Temple.
I enjoyed camping, hiking, cooking, sewing, and gardening. I liked reading, especially the scriptures, church books and other good books. I also liked writing poems, painting pictures, singing, leading and making patchwork quilts. When I got really old, bent over and weak, it was hard for me to do the things that I liked.
I was preceded in death by my parents, one sister and two sons. I had 10 children. I am survived by my husband, Bill, 2 brothers, 4 sons and 4 daughters.
