Elisiva Lu’isa Mani Sandness, a.k.a. “Lu” (Isa) passed away peacefully with her family by her side and returned home to her Heavenly Father on January 22, 2019 after a courageous battle with liver failure. The family would like to thank Dr. Brown and the entire medical team at Intermountain Healthcare Hospital in Murray for their caring professionalism.
Luisa was born to the late Epalahame Toakai Mani and Teisa Pakofe Mani on May 19, 1966 in Ha’atafu, Tonga. Luisa graduated from West Jordan High School and faithfully served a full-time LDS mission in Long Beach, CA from 1982-1983.
She married the love of her life, Bryan Sandness on September 19, 2008. They have lived in Vernal, UT for 10 years. She is survived by her husband Bryan and five beautiful children: Charlie, Crystal, Candice, Tait and Tavish; and five precious grandchildren: Mason, Andrew, Mikayla, Addison and Ethan. She is also survived by her mother, Pakofe Mani, and many loving sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews.
Luisa dedicated her life to serving and loving her family and everyone she crossed paths with. She poured her heart into everything she committed her time to, including her work as a chef, caregiver and serving the Lord in the Vernal LDS Temple. She had a passion for cooking, canning and fishing. You could always find her in any kitchen wearing her favorite apron ready to serve others. She had the biggest, contagious smile and laugh that would brighten anyone’s day.Service Information
