Elena Recendez Esparza entered God’s Paradise on June 15, 2023, in Salt Lake City at the age of 79. She was born on October 11, 1943, to Francisco Recendez and Juanita Villagrana in El Tejujan Valparaiso, Zacatecas, Mexico. She married her sweetheart, Inocencio Esparza on January 8, 1962.
Elena was the most devoted mom, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister & friend. She loved working in her garden, singing to her beautiful flowers. She was very religious & faithful. Always praying for the well-being of her family, others & world peace! Her greatest joy was spending time with her grand kids, having her great grand kids come around brought the biggest smile to her face. The love she gave/ spread throughout her lifetime was genuine, unconditional, pure and sincere. She touched the hearts of many people with her grace and joy!! Hoping we all take a little of her kindness with us. She most definitely was one of a kind.
Survived by: Husband Inocencio Children: Marta, Carlos, Ino Jr., Leandra, Teresa, Rosa, Francisco, Luis, Beatriz. 28 grandkids & 43 great grand kids.
Preceded by death: Father, Mother, Daughter Gabriela, Son Juan, great grandson Alex.
Rosary Service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 6:00 PM, with a viewing following form 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
Funeral Mass will follow the next day on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 12:00 PM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville, Utah 84129.
Interment will follow the Mass at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.Service Information
