Ele’Ele Tauili’Ili Su’A Ete

September 24, 1937 — July 29, 2021

Doctrine & Covenants 88: 78 Teach ye diligently and my grace shall attend you, that you
may be instructed more perfectly in theory, in principle, in doctrine, in the law of the gospel, in all
things that pertain unto the kingdom of God, that are expedient for you to understand;
     1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am; and His grace which was
bestowed upon me was not in vain but I laboured more abundantly…: yet not I, but the grace of
God which was with me
     Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Ele’ele Tauili’ili Su’a Ete, affectionately known by her family as “mama” left behind a legacy of love. She passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 5:30am. She was born on September 24, 1937 in the beautiful village of Saipipi, on the big island of Savai’i, Samoa. Along with our late father, our mother devoted her life entirely in serving others and her family by doing Heavenly Father’s will. Though her schooling was limited, her strength and determination to learn and teach was beyond comparison. Towards the end of her life she battled with ovarian cancer, which ultimately took her life.
She is survived by her 9 children, 44 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her dear eternal companion, our loving father, the late Tupa’i Malili Ete (passed October 6, 2016), one of her sons, Malae Fagafagamalo Ete, a grandson, Nelson Malatai Ete, and three great grandchildren. Her memorial services will be at her beloved home ward, Rose Park 15th Ward, located at 1155 North, 1200 West, Salt Lake City, Utah and her final resting place will be at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah 84123.
Our family would like to extend our appreciation for all those who have offered your love, support, kind words, and assistance during this time. May God bless each and every one of you and your families.
