Eleanor “Ellie” Marie Gittins Brown
Our beautiful and loving Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Aunt and Friend, passed away February 10, 2022.
Ellie was born August 18, 1940, to Joseph Thomas Gittins and Ruth Christiansen Gittins in Los Angeles California. She was the 4th of 13 children and remained very close to all her siblings.
Ellie married her sweetheart, Larry Paul Brown July 20, 1991, and they began their lives together leaving behind so many fun memories.
Ellie loved being surrounded by her family and Grandchildren and was loved by all that knew her.
Eleanor is survived by children: Kelly Jean Jones, Kevin (Joel) Kelson, Karolyn Kelson-Hyde, Kurt (Angie) Kelson and Kraig (Lisa) Kelson, 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by Parents, Husband Larry Brown, beloved Son Kent Kelson, Son In Law Tom Jones, Grandsons Breck Jones and Eric Barajas. Siblings, Ellen “Verna” Holton, Marjorie Badgett, Jean Brazell-Giese, Russell Gittins, Kathleen “Mary” Bassett, Richard Gittins, Ann Gittins, Lois Eye, Leah Cooke, Joseph “Joey” Gittins, Ilene Posey and Barbra Pantke.
Mom, saying goodbye is the hardest thing we have had to do. We love you.
The family would like to thank Dr. Brett Porter and Dr. Michael Voss.
A funeral service will be held on Friday 2/18/2022 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. A viewing be held from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM on the same day at the same location. Interment to follow services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
