Eleanor Lela Goodenough Mallard

Our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Eleanor passed away on May 24, 2018 surrounded by her children. She was born on July 11, 1921 to John William Lords and Hannah Olive Anderson in Preston, Idaho. At the age of 17 she married Glen Goodenough and they were happily married for over 40 years until Glen passed away. Five years later, she married Richard Harvey Mallard. They were married for 34 years, and he passed away in December 2017. Ellie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren playing games and cards, and family cook-outs. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husbands, and son Danny Goodenough. She is survived by her son Howard (Joan) Goodenough, Glenda (Terry) Young, Linda (Don) Nordsven, and many grand and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on June 1, 2018 at 2:00 at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. The family extends their gratitude to Heritage Place in Bountiful, Legacy Village of Taylorsville and Signature hospice for their loving care.
