Elaine Hill Buddell

Elaine Hill Buddell passed away peacefully at her home on August 6th, 2016, at the age of 85. She was born January 29th, 1931 to Andrew John and Mary Ann Hartshorn Hill. She grew up in Salt Lake City with siblings Jack, LaRue, and Lloyd. Elaine graduated from the University of Utah in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She later married Trevor Keith Buddell and raised four children. Elaine is preceded in death by her husband Trevor Buddell, as well as her loving parents and siblings. Survivors include her children Gordon (Joy), Annie, John (Nancy), and Douglas, and grandchildren, Brooke (Nick), Jake (Lynny), Abby, and Trevor, and great-granddaughter Kate.
 
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we love you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one the Chain will link again.
