Grandma "Jo"

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away of natural causes on May 7, 2024.

Mom was born in Richfield, Utah, on December 18, 1925, to Hyrum and Mary Maude Miller Barlow. She graduated from Richfield High School in 1944. She married Dean H Peterson on June 26, 1946. They were happily married for 60 years.

Mom retired from JC Penney after 33 years of service. After retirement she volunteered at the LDS Hospital and River's Bend Senior Center. Mom was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed crafts, painting, gardening, doll making, and scrapbooking. She taught scrapbooking and crafts at the Senior Center.

Mom is survived by daughters; De Anne, Lorelee, and Becky; son Russell and daughter-in-law Connie. She is also survived by grandchildren; John, David, Lisa, Stacy, Jason, Christy (Sean), Michelle (Nick), Terilyn (Joe); great-grandchildren Marcus, Jordan, Shaan, Arman, Nadia, Olivia, Melanye, Quinn, Harper, Henry, Everett, Savannah, Grace, Henna, Elizabeth, Lennox and Dominic; great-great granddaughter Ellie. She is also survived by nephew Kent Barlow.

Mom was preceded in death by her husband, father and mother, brother Lloyd H Barlow and sister Lorene Prows.
