Edward Glen Koplin

November 22, 1934 — February 21, 2019

Edward Glen Koplin, our dear father and grandfather, passed quietly away on February 21, 2019 In Riverton, Utah.
He was born November 22, 1934 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Bill and Helen Wood Koplin of Salt lake City, Utah. He lost his mother 10 days later to complications of childbirth. He was raised by his two grandmothers, Emma Koplin and Adelaide Wood.
At 19 years of age he married Carley Rexene Colbert on January 6, 1954 in the SLC temple. They are the parents of 5 children and grandparents to 21 grandchildren who all love him very much. Their home was in Sandy, Ut. and after a church mission to Florida, they retired in St. George, UT.
Glen was beloved of anyone who knew him. He had a kind spirit that was caring and warm. He had a powerful testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and was always willing to serve. He was a bricklayer all his life, a very hard worker and provider for his family. He served as a Boy Scout leader for many years and because of his love of baseball, he coached his sons thru their Little League years. He loved to travel and visited many states and countries with his wife Carley.
Glen will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will be welcomed home by his dear wife and the mother he never knew. A family gathering will be held between 10:0 a.m. and 12:00 Noon Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah.
