Edward Gaborski

August 15, 1952 — October 21, 2014

Edward Gaborski Jr., son of Edward Gaborski and Susan Vojt, passed away Oct 21, 2014 in his home in Syracuse, Utah at the age of 62.
Ed was born in Irvington, New Jersey and spent his entire childhood there. He went to Rutgers University and got a degree in Political Science and then got a job at the Chevron refinery at Perth Amboy, N.J.
Ed married his first wife, Linda Shreeves, Aug.28, 1976 and they had four children. They moved to Utah in 1983 when Ed transferred to the Salt Lake Chevron refinery. Ed worked in the tank fields there and worked his way up to the Transportation Specialist and worked with their hazmat team.
It was at the Salt Lake refinery that Ed met Naomi Garrison. They married June 28, 1996, combining Ed’s four children with Naomi’s five. They were sealed to each other in the Bountiful LDS Temple in June of 1997 for time and all eternity.
In 2002 their grandson, Damien, came to live with them.
In 2005 Ed once again moved for work. They moved to Gautier, Mississippi so he could take a promotion at the Pascagoula refinery.
It was while in Mississippi that Ed was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Because of this, he soon had to retire from Chevron.
While preparing to move back to Utah in Jan. of 2012, Naomi passed away. Ed and Damien moved to Syracuse Utah in June of 2012, where Ed enjoyed being closer to so much of his family.
A few months before he passed away, Ed was able to realize his lifelong dream of going to Poland and the Czech Republic to see where his grandparents came from. He was very proud to have a stamp from Poland in his passport.
Ed was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and son. He enjoyed politics, collecting coins (and many other things) and spending time with his family.
He leaves behind a sister, Patricia DeGeorge, nine children: Alyce Garrison, Mary Gaborski Tripp, Diana Garrison Seale, Denise Garrison Maher, Angela Garrison Williams, Roger Gaborski, Adam Garrison, Faith Gaborski, and Christian Gaborski, and seventeen grandchildren.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Gaborski and Susan Vojt, his wife, Naomi Gaborski, and a granddaughter, Stormy Williams.
Services will be held Thursday Oct. 30, 2014 at the LDS Chapel at 2228 S. 1660 W. Syracuse, Utah at 1:00 PM, the viewing will be at 12:00.
