Edward Carroll Adair

February 19, 1925 — May 17, 2022

Edward “Ed” Carroll Adair, age 97, died in Farr West, Utah on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. He was born on February 19, 1925 in Panguitch, Utah to Joseph Adair and Marie Henrie. On December 19, 1945 he married Dorothy Evans.
During WWII Ed served in the US Navy. Ed loved to do jigsaw puzzles. He enjoyed making knit hats for family and friends. He also loved fishing and camping. Over the years, Ed held several different callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, including: serving as a Stake Seventy, Counselor in the Bishopric, Stake High Council, and others. He was a mechanic by trade and a natural born handyman. He could fix anything.
Surviving Ed are children: Diane Norton, Linda (Cory) Hancock, and Jana Beck; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by brother, Kenneth (Kenna) Adair. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Adair; daughter, Virginia Stone; and grandsons, DeWayne and Fred Norton.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road. A time of gathering and visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Staff of Seasons Assisted Living and Atlas Home Care and Hospice for the loving care given to Ed and his family.
