Edith Lydia Nielsen passed away peacefully on July 9, 2016 in West Valley City, Utah at the age of 97. She was born December 4, 1918 in Aalborg, Denmark to Jens Marinus and Sorine Birgette, she was the oldest of 5 children.
She is survived by her sister Erly Pedersen, 9 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Irene, and brothers Hartvig and Herluf.
Edith worked for many years at Deseret Press until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of the LDS church and enjoyed serving.
The family would like to thank Legacy Village Memory Care and Rocky Mountain Care-Hunter Hollow for the devoted care Edith received the past year and a half.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 14 at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 E. 7800 S. (Bengal Blvd.).Service Information
