Edith Ellis Easter

February 23, 1936 — December 27, 2014

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Edith Elizabeth “Liz” Ellis Easter passed away peacefully on December 27, 2014 in Sun City, Arizona. Liz was born February 23, 1936 in Houston, Texas to Richard Thornton Ellis and Helen Sherrill Ellis. She attended Milby High School in Houston and then married the love of her life, Lealand “Pete” Edgar Easter. They celebrated their 60th anniversary in April 2014. She was very creative and enjoyed working on crafts and cross-stitching. She also enjoyed playing dice and board games, but especially just being with her family. She loved playing bingo and visiting with her friends at the bingo hall. She was always ready to learn something new and for the next adventure. She will always be remembered for how fun she was and her loving, lifelong relationships.
Liz will be missed by her loving husband Pete, sister Sherrill Ellis Mason, daughters Elizabeth (Larry) Torgerson, Sherrill (Kim) Wixon, Richard (Karen) Easter, Lealand (Karene) Torgerson, Richard Torgerson, Sarah Torgerson, Zachary Angell, Benjamin Angell, Laura Angell, Matthew Fletcher, Claine Peterson, and many nieces and nephews. She was blessed with three beautiful great-grandchildren of whom she was very proud, Jackson Easter, and twins Ellie and Liv Torgerson.
Liz was preceded in death and will be reunited with her parents, brother Richard Ellis, sister Carolyn Mason, brother Marshall Ellis, and grandchildren Noel Easter, and twins Henry and Mary Ellen Torgerson.
Our family would like to thank her many friends and family for their outpouring of love and support. We would be honored to have you join us in the celebration of their life on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Mountain View Memorial Estates on 3115 E. Bengal Blvd (7800 South) in Salt Lake City, UT.
