Edeltraud Elfriede Eisert Huxhold

May 8, 1930 — November 26, 2021

Edeltraud Elfriede Eisert Huxhold
Our beloved mother continued her journey to the other side of the veil on November 26, 2021 to be with her parents Walter and Elfriede Eisert, and her two brothers Fred (Shirley) and Dieter Eisert.
Born on May 8, 1930 in Breslau, Germany. Growing up in Germany during the war wasn’t easy, and there were many trials she had to overcome. At the age of 21, she and her brother Fred were able to come to the United States. They traveled across the country to stay with their Aunt Martha for a short time in Brigham City, Utah. They were able to find employment and a place to live in Salt Lake City. A year later, they had saved enough money to help the rest of their family come to the states. She had many jobs, one she liked most was in the Child Accounting Office in the Salt Lake City School District. After retirement from the district, she served in the Jordan River Temple for 23 years, and also did Extractions for 25 years at the same time.
She learned the English language while listening to the radio and television. She became a citizen in 1958. She taught her children the value of working hard and being honest in their dealings. She showed love and kindness to others and was always forgiving. She held many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her strong and unfailing love of the Savior helped her through difficult times and she showed through her example how to live.
She married Fred Huxhold, (later divorced). They had 6 children; Marian (DeeVoy) Tucker, Ruth (Stephen) Oliverson, Steven (Iris) Huxhold, Karen (Alden) Carroll, Brian Huxhold, and Roger Huxhold. She leaves a posterity of 36 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, and 21 great great grandchildren.
She is also leaving behind her sister; Christa (David) Aamodt, and brother; Lothar (Carolyn) Eisert, along with her sister-in-law; Elisabeth Eisert, and many, many nieces and nephews.
We love you Mom and can’t wait to be with you again.
