Eddie LeRoy Smith
Eddie was born January 28, 1965, to Beatrice Ellen McHenry Hawk and Melvin Osborn Smith. He married the love of his life, Linda Dawson Bryant, on February 21, 1992. They were sealed February 19, 1994 in the Jordan River Temple.
When Eddie married Linda, he became an instant father. He loved his children. In May of 2015, he was diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer. He returned to his Heavenly Father November 8, 2015.
Eddie was a very kind and caring man, he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, his children Kimberly Peterson, and Scott (Jamie) Bryant, 3 grandchildren, his Father, 2 sisters and 1 brother. He is preceded in death by his Mother, son-in-law, and grandson.
Eddie went to school to become a massage therapist, then volunteered at CNS Hospice for 5 years. He enjoyed bringing some comfort to people in their last phase of life. We would like to thank CNS for the care they showed him in the last weeks of his life. We would also like to thank Draper Rehabilitation and Care Center.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Graveside services will take place on Friday, November 13, 2015, at 11:00 am. Those services will be held at Redwood Memorial Mortuary & Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
