On July 11, 2016 a humble and unassuming Earl J. Eaton passed on due to a short struggle with cancer. One of seven children, he was born on February 26, 1932 to loving parents Joseph (Joe) Eaton and Frederica (Fritzie) Ann Holdforth (both deceased). He met his high school sweetheart (Mary Katheryn Alred, deceased May 17, 2009) and they were married for 58 years. They had three children of their own within the next few years; Therese Sue Rankin (Russell), Ronald Douglas (Cheryl Ann Vance), and Leslie Pearl Gibson. As of this date, with these three children Earl’s posterity has expanded to nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
Many of Earl’s relationships stem from his varied work experiences that ranged from commercial fisherman (he couldn’t swim a lick), asphalt machine operator, long haul truck driver (BF Walker of Pueblo, Colo.) watch repairman, warehouse furniture mover (both watch repairman and mover for Sears), Journeyman Electrician, self-employed as an Electrical Contractor (advancing to Master Electrician), co-owner operator of ET Pilot Car Service, ending with a hobby of cutting and polishing of stones for the jewelry he enjoyed making.
The grandfather, uncle, brother, father, and friend, we’ll miss all that you brought into this world and know that the struggles and longings of this life have been lifted from you. You now can have the reunion that you so deserve to be with the loved ones that have gone before you, and we also join when our time is at hand. “Bye Bye for now”
