Duane Knowlden

March 7, 1960 — June 14, 2014

On June 14, 2014, my best friend, the “Dewman,” stepped into eternity surrounded by family and friends. Dewey was born, Nyle Duane Knowlden on March 7, 1960 to Nyle E. and Mary Knowlden. Dewey loved life and lived it on his terms. We had six years of adventure, road trips, and good memories with friends and family. He was always up for a movie and a good burger. He looked out for the little guy. Dewey loved his family and friends and appreciated their love and support. He graduated from South High, served a full time mission to Calgary Alberta Canada and started his own businesses. He married the love of his life, Danene Hardy on January 26, 2008, and on March 1, 2014 they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Survived by: his wife Danene; Brothers, Lewis and Ken (Jana) Knowlden; Sister Cheryllynn (Glen) VanLeeuwen; Father-in-law Dan Hardy; Sister-in-law Suzanne (John) Selleneit; Brother-in-law Steven (Deana) Hardy; 10 nieces; 4 nephews, and 4 great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Viewings and services will be held at Waterloo Ward, 1623 South 500 East. Viewings ~ Thursday, June 19, 6 – 8 pm and Friday, June 20, 9:00 to 9:45 am, Funeral at 10 am. Interment will be at Lake Hills Memorial, 10055 South State.
