Duane “Haha” Dixon

December 30, 1938 — November 29, 2019

Duane passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2019, after battling with Alzheimer’s/Dementia. He was born on December 30, 1938, in Salt Lake City, UT to Meldo and Olive Dixon.
He served in the Army Reserves from 1959 – 1965 where he was honorably discharged. He then went on to be a machinist/estimator in the manufacturing industry for 45 years. He married Kaye David on May 25, 1962. Together they raised two children and have five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He enjoyed all things outdoors especially, camping, fishing and snowmobiling. His oldest granddaughter Kandis named him “HaHa” and after that everyone knew him as such. He was a die hard Utah UTES fan, but his greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his Wife, sister Linda Navarro, children Stacey (Destry) Lovato and Mike (Brenda) Dixon, grandchildren Kandis, Kelsie, Landon, Ellie, Carson and two great grandchildren.
He is proceeded in death by his parents.
Special thanks to sister-in-law Kathy, neighbors Don, Lynnie and Ann, CNS Home Health/Hospice, and the South Jordan Fire Department.
He will be dearly missed by all of us, but we are glad he is no longer suffering.
