Dr. Wallace W. Higgins

September 13, 1931 — October 1, 2017

Dr. Wallace W. Higgins, 86, died on Oct. 1, 2017, in his home in West Valley City, UT. He was born on Sept. 13, 1931, in Phoenix, AZ. to Clifton and Rosella Higgins. He married Norma Ann Libby on Aug. 8, 1958.
It is with a sense of great loss that his family announces the graduation of their Dad and Grandfather to Heaven. He went to glory just before church Sunday morning. He will be missed for his passion for the Gospel and Church Planting – particularly in the West. He was truly a one-of-a-kind Gospel rider with a burr under his saddle for getting churches started in the West. He came, saw the need, and only left briefly to bring more people to see what he saw. He shared his burden with passion and persuasion, resulting in other church planters coming west. He loved jokes and sports, war history, but his only hobby was planting churches. He will be greatly missed. He will also forever be remembered for his “Great Honk” and “Horse Feathers”!
He is survived by son Robert, daughter Cheryl (Phil), grandchildren Jordan, Morgan, Riley, Bailey & Braedon, sister Mary.
He is preceded in death by wife Norma; son Gregory: grandson C.J.: parents, several in-laws including his dear brother-in-law Eddie that passed away the week before. I am sure the laughter has not stopped since they were reunited.
The funeral will be 10:30 am on Saturday, October 7th at Midvalley Bible Church at 13985 S 2700 W. followed by a graveside at Lake Hills Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made in care of Northwest Baptist Mission.
