Dr. Michael Wayne Kotter, 47, passed away April 10, 2014. He was born July 13, 1966 in San Francisco, CA to Wayne and Faye Kotter. Mike spent most of his childhood and adult life in Salt Lake City, Utah. Upon graduation from Skyline High School, he served an honorable LDS Mission to Mexico City (1985-1987). He also served in the United States Military for 2 years and spent significant time serving in Germany during Desert Storm. Mike graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in May (1995) and completed his 3-year residency at the Scott & White Hospital in Austin, Texas. He went on to practice Podiatric Medicine in South Jordan and Roy, Utah.
Mike was a perfectionist in many aspects of his life; he excelled in golf, piano, woodworking and in his medical practice. He was fun, loving and we will sorely miss his outgoing personality—especially during the Christmas season! Mike had a passion for spending time with his boys–whether he was attending their athletic events, playing sports, going to movies or going on vacations with them.
Survived by his sons: Andrew Michael and Jordan Thomas; (Mother) Julianne Bentley; (Wife) Holly Kotter; (Father) Wayne Kotter; brothers and sister: Paul (Jennifer), Tom (Angela) and Amy (Dan) Swensen.
Preceded in death by his Mother, Faye Carlson Kotter.
A reception in Mike’s honor will be held on Monday April 21, 2014, at the Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary 4670 S. Highland Drive from 6-8:00 pm. Interment at Manti City Cemetery.
