Doyle W. Atwood

Doyle W. Atwood passed away at home on December 15, 2019, at the age of 79 in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born on July 5, 1940, in Spanish Fork, Utah to Fred Clarence Atwood and Agnes Louie Nelson. He Married Emma Kathleen Peterson on June 2, 1960.
Doyle loved hunting, archery, wood burning pictures, and gardening. He also loved his yard. His greatest accomplishments include earning 6 Eagle Scouts at one time, and his family that he loved so much.
Doyle is survived by his wife Kathleen Atwood, his children Wayne Atwood, Dave and Debbie Atwood, and Rayleen Valenzuela, his brothers Ray Atwood, Lawrence Atwood, and Jim Atwood, his sisters Carol Scholl and Janet McCurry, his grandchildren Dennis and Kim Atwood, Branden and Celesta Atwood, Jayce and Chantelle Garcia, Kristine Atwood, Shanise Mineer, Brieann Mineer, and Marissa Mineer, as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Doyle was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Agnes Atwood, his brother Kendall Atwood, and his son Paul Jay Atwood.
A viewing will be held on Thursday December 19, 2019 from 6 – 8 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT, and again on Friday December 20, 2019 from 10 – 10:45 AM at the Taylorsville 1st Ward, 4845 South Woodhaven Drive, Taylorsville, UT with a funeral service to immediately follow. Interment will take place at the Salem City Cemetery, 965 South 140 East, Salem, UT.
