Douglas Jack Diamond passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 1, 2018. Douglas was born in Park City, Utah on February 22, 1944 to Jack and Lois Diamond. He graduated from South High School in 1962. Douglas enlisted with the Marine Corps from 1963 – 1967. He was a Vietnam Combat Veteran. In 1968 he became California Highway Patrol officer. Douglas retired in 1999 after 30 years of dedicated service. He was an avid fisherman and prospector. He was a true mountain man. His greatest love was spending time with family. Douglas is survived by his three sons, Troy, Todd, and Beau (Julie), his two grandsons Jesse and Jack, his granddaughter Meadow, his brothers Steve and Randy, nephew Mike, and niece Debbie. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gary, and sister in law Ila Joan. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, 11 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. He was the greatest father, grandfather, uncle, and brother to us all.
