Douglas Harvey Brown, age 81, died November 22, 2015 in Salt Lake City, UT after a long battle with health issues. He was born November 27, 1934 in Salt Lake City, UT to Harvey B. and Thelma Aleen Folker Brown. On May 9, 1955, Doug married his sweetheart, Elva Cox. Doug was a successful businessman who was an icon in the insurance industry.
He is survived by his wife, Elva (Ellie); daughter Sherrie A. Hunter; son Douglas C. Brown (Sharon); grandchildren Becky, Cable, Greg, James, Heather and Zach; great-grandchildren Chris, Jessie, Ryan, Amanda, Dermot, Dezi and Dante; great-great-grandchildren Kenzi and Olivia.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 S. State St., Sandy, UT, with a viewing beginning one hour prior. Interment will be at Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery.
