Sister Dorothy May (Fillmore) MacDonald returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 3, 2016 after a courageous battle with multiple medical problems over a course of several years.
She was born June 13, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to George Henry, Sr. and Columbia (Dennis) Fillmore who had 3 other children: Gloria Jean, George Henry, Jr. and Joyce Maudlynn, all born in Utah.
Dorothy married William MacDonald on January 28, 1984 after dating for 9 years and sealed their marriage in the Mount Timpanogos Temple on July 16, 2011, in American Fork, Utah.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed helping others and putting them first before herself. Her greatest joy was her family and her religion.
She was educated in Spanish Fork, Utah and Twin Falls, Idaho as well as Albuquerque, New Mexico. She loved to work with all kinds of crafts, sew, cook and read.
Survivors include her husband, William Dallas; 4 sons: Darwin Goode; Allen Goode; John Goode; and Randy Goode; 2 daughters: Sally (Frank) Paige and Ilene (Alan) Scott; 1 sister, Joyce (Charlie) Brown; and 1 brother, George Henry, Jr.; as well as multiple grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 9, 2016 in the Vineyard LDS Church, 800 S. Geneva Road, Orem, UT. Friends may call Thursday, December 8th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and again 1 hour prior to Friday services at the Vineyard LDS church.
