Dorothy May Chesnut, 90, passed away on February 23, 2017 after a short time following a stroke. She was born in Obion County, Tennessee on September 28, 1926 to Victor and Lula May (Moore) Henderson. She met Chad Chesnut, who was serving in the military in Tennessee, and they were married in Pueblo, Colorado on October 1, 1946. Their marriage was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 19, 1964. After marriage, she was a homemaker and worked at various elementary schools and a senior center as a cook. Active in the LDS Church she served in various callings over the years. She was an amazing cook and everyone loved her handmade candy at Christmastime. Survived by her two children, Leslie Wayne Chesnut and Patricia Bergstrom (Kevin); four grandchildren, Brittany Jones (Tim), Clint Bergstrom (Becca), Krista Anderson (Willis), Erika Norton; and nine great grandchildren and a brother. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at the West Jordan Heritage 4th Ward, 7336 South. 3200 West., West Jordan, Utah. Friends and family may call on Wednesday morning from 9-11 at the Stake Center. Interment in the Memorial Estates Redwood Road Cemetery.Service Information
