Dorothy May Broadbent Blair

Dorothy May Broadbent Blair (91) passed away Saturday May 27, 2017 in Salt Lake City, UT after complications from a fall. Dorothy was born in Weiser, ID August 15, 1925 to Francis H. Broadbent and Amelia Millward Broadbent. She moved to Grantsville, UT in 1936 where she graduated from Grantsville High School in 1943. She married George Boyd “Bud” Blair June 6, 1947. Dorothy worked at the Tooele Ordnance Depot during World War II. After having her children she went to work at Heber Valley Milk and later started her own business as a color consultant and makeup artist. She was an active member of the Winder 3rd Ward and the Millcreek community for 61 years. Dorothy was a great cook, made the best spaghetti sauce and always had cookies in the jar in the cupboard. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Lynn LeBaron (Eddie, deceased) and Gerri Lou Blair (Jeff Howard); 9 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren and Billy the dachshund.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday June 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winder 3rd Ward, 1250 E 4530 South. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary, located at 10055 South State Street and also from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment at Memorial Lake Hills Cemetery.
