Dorothy Mae Foy

Dorothy Mae Foy, age 77, died on November 23, 2018, in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 25, 1941 in Winterville, Mississippi to Percy Yarbrough and Annie Bell Brown.
She married Aulander Goode and Lenny Foy (later divorced). Dorothy is a graduate of South High School in Salt Lake City; retired from Kennecott Copper – Rio Tinto, after 13 years; mother of six children; was employed with the Salt Lake City School District for several years. She was an active member of several churches: World Wide Gospel Church; Unity Baptist Church; and Trinity AME Church.
She is survived by her children: Darrell Keith Yarbrough, Carol Goode Rogozinski, Roderick (Rachael) Goode, Catherine Lenore Foy, Shireese Joyce, and a special grandson, Darius Jordan; siblings: Estella Broadway, Leedora Hoskins, Eddie Hoskins, Michael Hoskins, and Kenneth Yarbrough; several cousins, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Percy Yarbrough (Ruth) and Annie Bell Brown Hoskins; grandparents Hattie May Brown and Lizzie Washington; siblings: Charles Hoskins, Shirley Hoskins, Vicky Yarbrough, Forrest Yarbrough, Stephanie Yarbrough; children: Gerald Lynn Goode and Lenny Foy, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and again 1 hour prior to services.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, January 5, 2019, 11:00 am at Fort Douglas Military Memorial Park, the approximate address is 425 Chipeta Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84108.
