Dorothy Hawkes

Dorothy T. Hawkes age 80, passed away unexpectedly March 25th2015. Dorothy was born December 11, 1934 in SLC, Utah to Francis and Uarda Trottier. She married Steve Hawkes on August 20, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. Steve passed away in 2012. Together they had three children. She was an active member of the LDS church, where she served in various callings. Her main love in life was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mom had a great love of music. She loved to sing and sang in various choirs. Mom enjoyed watching the Jazz and the Utes. When asked how she was doing, her reply was always “not bad for an old broad”. She is survived by her three children, son Chip (Stephanie) Hawkes, daughters Suzi (Jeff) Moline, and Stacy Rees, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, one sister and one great-granddaughter. Viewing will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary 4670 South Highland Drive in Holladay. Services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Greenfield LDS Chapel, 6634 S. Greenfield Way (1920 E). A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the SLC Cemetery.
