Salt Lake City, UT – After a long separation, mom was reunited with her Wyoming Cowboy, Arvel, on May 1, 2024.
Doris Margene was born November 27, 1934, to Jacob and Evelyn Noorda in Ogden, Utah. Doris later met and married Arvel G. Smith on April 11, 1952, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Doris enjoyed creating flower arrangements, sewing, baking, decorating wedding cakes, hosting parties and creating her Chateau Villa dining experience in her home. Doris served faithfully in all her church callings. She especially enjoyed being choir director and loved serving with Dad as couple missionaries in the Macon Georgia Mission from 1993-1994 and Murray Deseret Industries from 2000-2001.
