Donna Tooley
“A Celebration of Completion of Life”
Donna Tooley graduated from life on March 14, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She started her earthly education on February 26, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donald Merton Tooley and Gwenavere Palmer Tooley.
Donna was a great lover of music, enjoyed taking car rides and long walks until the last few years of her life when she was in a wheelchair, a true connoisseur of the food at Chuck-A-Rama, and playing practical jokes. She loved the swing and could get higher than anyone else on the playground. Her neighbors knew when she was out by the squeaking of the chains on her swing. When she wasn’t swinging she was with her dad mowing the lawn. She had a true zest for life and knew how to have fun! On the other hand, she could also be as stubborn as a six hundred pound boulder, in an emergency she was immovable, but loveable. While we will miss her flipping strings and belts, we will not miss the bruising or the close calls to the eyes from the tips of her strings or belts.
She is survived by her loving sister KayLynn Tooley Wallace, brother in law Mark B. Wallace, half brother Gordon Orville Tooley, half sister Joyce Tooley Walton, aunt EveLynn Palmer and uncle Richard Perkins, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving parents.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, a Viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary, as well as one hour prior to the celebration.
