She is also survived by her grandchildren Alan Chapman, Alison Johnson, Laura Astrin, Kimberly Lyne, Tracy Rucker,  Trista Arrowood, Colby Quinney, Adam Millington, Ryan Arrowood, Mallory Millington and Brittney Arrowood along with nineteen great-grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by Michelle Arrowood, Bruce Millington, Jon Arrowood, her parents and all of her siblings. What a glorious reunion that must have been!
Donna was born on April 12, 1927 to Osa and Elsie Grant. She lived a long, wonderful life that was filled with traveling, entertaining and spending time with her family.
Hal and Donna traveled extensively during their marriage, visiting almost twenty countries together.  As much as she loved family and traveling, she also really liked finding deals. She always had her eye out for a good deal and frequently used that skill to help others. In fact, Hal wanted her to have a little bit of cash in her hands when she was buried in case she ran into a good garage sale along the way.
In her middle years, Donna decided she wanted to further her education and over the course of ten years she obtained a master’s degree in psychology from Pepperdine University. During this time she also owned and ran a catering business along with her sister Betty Mae and their friend Shirley Cooper.
In 1984 when the summer Olympics were held in Los Angeles, Donna signed up to be a volunteer driver for them. Through this she had the opportunity meet many people and it was a very exciting experience for her. One of the people she drove gave her tickets to the women’s gymnastics event and she was there, along with her husband and daughter Nancy, when Mary Lou Retton won her gold medal!
Hal and Donna served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Nauvoo, Illinois. Donna was very relieved when they received their mission call because she had been worried that they would be sent to somewhere like Zimbabwe. Nauvoo turned out to be a great fit for them and they thoroughly enjoyed their time serving there.
Nothing was more important to Donna than her family. When her children were little, it gave her such pleasure to plan vacations with her kids and their cousins. Donna wasn’t very excited at the prospect of becoming a grandma, but as soon the first baby was in her arms she was in love. Having the family over for a weekly dinner made for lots of fun times and many memories.
Donna will be greatly missed, but we’re comforted knowing that she’s in a better place and is no longer suffering.
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in West Jordan, Utah.
